Spiritual Direction is a discipline that can be used for any Christian believer on the transformative journey of faith. Spiritual Direction is not by nature directive, but instead is about listening, being open and aware of God’s movement, and responding. Directors hold a safe, confidential “space" for a believer to listen, pray, and respond to God’s voice. God is the true Spiritual Director. In holding space, Directors do not give counsel or solutions, but use silence, prayer, spiritual practices, and questions within conversation to aid the person in paying attention to invitations from the Spirit and supporting their response.
